Sau Lan Wu

Wu received in 1963 her Bachelor 's degree from Vassar College. In 1964 she received her master's degree at Harvard University, where she was in 1970 a doctorate. From 1970 to 1972 she was at DESY, 1972-1975 at Brookhaven National Laboratory from 1975 to 1977 at CERN and from 1977 to 1985 again at DESY. From 1972 to 1977 she was also at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. In 1977, she was Assistant Professor and later a professor at the University of Wisconsin- Madison. Since 1986 she has been researching at CERN, where she is part of the Atlas collaboration at the Large Hadron Collider and involved with this to the likely discovery of the Higgs boson.
