Sauber C12

The Sauber C12 was the first Formula 1 car of Sauber Motorsport and was used in all the races of the Formula 1 season 1993.

Technology and Development

The C12 was designed by Harvey Postlethwaite in 1992 and developed by Leo Ress in detail. The V10 engine with 3.5 liters came from Ilmor and was developed in collaboration with Mercedes. He was known as the Clean 2175th

The petrol for the C12 came from Elf and as with all other teams Goodyear was the tire supplier.

Paint and sponsorship

The basic color of C12 was black. The front and rear wings were kept white. On the engine hood was the lettering concept by Mercedes -Benz. Sponsor stickers were attached the logos from Ölliefernat Liqui Moly on the sides of the rear wing and the vanes of the front wing.

Driver

The drivers were for all 16 races of the season Wendlinger and JJ Lehto.
