Sauber C16

The Sauber C16 was the fifth Formula 1 racing car Sauber. The C16 was used in the 1997 season and designed by Leo Ress. The car was powered by a Petronas -SP -01 V10 engine with 3 liters. The tires came from American tire manufacturer Goodyear, the fuel from Shell.

Driver

At the beginning of the season Johnny Herbert and Nicola Larini were set as a driver. While Herbert drove the entire season, Larini had to give up his car after five races to Gianni Morbidelli. Morbidelli was replaced for between three races of Norberto Fontana. Even at the last race of the season came Fontana used.
