Sauber C20

The Sauber C20 was a Formula 1 race car and the police car of Sauber Motorsport for the 2001 season. Was constructed in Sauber C20 by Willy Rampf, Sergio Rinland and Seamus Mullarkey.

Technology

The 600- kg monocoque was powered by a Petronas 01A 90 ° V10 engine. Petronas was also the main sponsor and lubricant supplier. The tires were made ​​by Bridgestone.

Paint and sponsorship

The choice of color of the paint was directed, as with all Sauber models between 1995 and 2003, according to the colors of the main sponsors. The vast majority of the chassis was the blue of the beverage manufacturer Red Bull, the sides were painted in Petronas cyan.

Driver

As a first driver committed Sauber Mönchengladbach Nick Heidfeld, who started from Prost Grand Prix coming in his second season. Second driver was the Finn Kimi Raikkonen, who started in his first Formula 1 season.
