Šaunštejn ( German Look Stone, also Hohenleipaer robbery Castle ) is a rock castle at Vysoká Lipa ( Hohenleipa ) in the Bohemian Switzerland is called in the Czech Republic. Today, only a few remnants have been preserved from the castle. Preserved are the foundations of the wooden structures, some ausgemeißelte rooms and the cistern.

History

The castle was built in the 14th century to protect the Old Bohemian street, from Bohemia in the Lausitz, by Berken of Duba from Lipa built. From 1435 it belonged to wait salvors who used it as a base for raids. In the 15th century it was repeatedly besieged by the Wettin and the Upper Lusatian Six Towns League and eventually destroyed.

In good weather the view from Cold Mountain, the Listen, the Rosenberg enough about the high snow mountain to the Ore Mountains.
