Savanna- la- Mar ( also known as Sav -la- Mar) is a port city on the southwest coast of Jamaica. It is the capital and administrative center of the Parish Westmoreland Parish, in the County of Cornwall. At the 1991 census, there were 16,553 people, in 2010 the number of inhabitants is estimated at 19 523.

The city was founded in 1730 together with the Parish, in 1748, 1780 and 1912 it was destroyed by hurricanes and rebuilt. The main economic activities are the processing of sugar and the meat industry.
