Savanté Stringfellow

Savante Stringfellow ( born June 11, 1978 in Jackson, Michigan) is an American long jumper.

Sporting successes

Stringfellow took part in the Summer Olympic Games in 2000, but missed in ninth place in the final.

The following year he won the silver medal with 8.24 meters at the world championships behind Iván Pedroso. At the 2003 World Championships in Paris Stringfellow remained Rank 8 without a medal. In 2004 he was World Champion in denHallenweltmeisterschaften with 8.40 m.

From 2000 to 2004, Stringfellew national indoor champion in the long jump, 2001 and 2002, he also won the national outdoor championships.

Special

Stringfellow, 2002 was the world's best long jumper. His best performance in the high jump (2.14 m ) and in the 200 - meter dash ( 20.66 s ) show him to be versatile athletes.
