Saverio Costanzo

Saverio Costanzo ( born September 28, 1975 in Rome ) is an Italian film director and screenwriter.

He is the son of writer Maurizio Costanzo and the brother of the director and screenwriter Camilla Costanzo and studied communications and sociology at the University of Rome. After his studies with a thesis on Italian-Americans he graduated in Brooklyn in 1998, he lived for several years in New York where he worked as a cameraman and documentary filmmaker.

He made his debut in 2004 with his film Private. The 57th International Film Festival in Berlin in 2007, his second feature film was presented in Memoria di me. Together with Paolo Giordano, he wrote the screenplay for the film The Solitude of Prime Numbers, which began filming in 2009.

Awards
