Savigny-le-Temple

Savigny- le -Temple is a town with 29 074 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the French department of Seine- et- Marne. Its inhabitants are the Savigniens. The city is situated on the Seine River and is 27 km from Paris and 6 km from Melun. It is composed of the districts Le vieux Bourg, Les Cités - Unies, Droits de l' Homme, Boileau - Apollinaire, Pierre Mendès France, Centre -Ville, Arcades, Tramontane and Plessis la Forêt. The direct neighboring municipalities are Nandy, Cesson, Saint -Pierre- du- Perray, Lieusaint, Moissy -Cramayel and Réau.

Traffic

The Autoroute A5 and the Route nationale N6 affect Savigny- le -Temple in the northeast.

The city is served by the railway line RER D.
