SAVILLE

With SAVILLE is called an encryption and decryption process, so the crypto algorithms that are contained in the secret NSA Suite A Cryptography collection and come standard in the armed forces of NATO tactical data with corresponding key devices in use.

The algorithm of SAVILLE is implemented in chips and circuit boards and serves the encryption of telecommunications data in high-security and military markets.

For encryption in the European Union ( EU) crypto chips are also used with the SAVILLE algorithm and Kryptofax devices that were acquired by the European Commission in the early 1990s by Siemens AG. SAVILLE should also be in use since the 1960s by the United States.

Examples are the Cypris ( Cryptographic RISC microprocessor ), a chip of the Lockheed Martin Advanced Technology Laboratories, which is also certified by the U.S. intelligence National Security Agency (NSA ) and the Advanced INFOSEC Machine chip from Motorola and the WINDSTER module of Harris Corporation.

The approval of these devices is top secret. Manufacturers of related key devices for the Bundeswehr include Siemens AG, Unterschleissheim and Bosch Telecom Related Categories.
