Saving Abel

Saving Abel is an American rock band that was founded in Corinth / Mississippi 2004.

The band plays hard rock with influences of post- grunge and southern rock. Jason Null, one of the founders of the band said that the band name was inspired by a passage from the story of Cain and Abel in the Old Testament, which he had googled. There he was the passage " ... there what no saving Abel " immediately caught your eye.

The band is currently on Virgin Records.

History

The band was founded in 2004 by Jason Null and Jared Weeks in Corinth / Mississippi. Weeks practiced at a friend playing guitar than zero, who played in a local band would rehearse there. Together, they began to write songs.

In early 2005 the band Skidd Mills was invited to Memphis to produce an EP in his studio. The label Virgin Records became aware of the band by the success of the CD and took it in 2008 under contract.

Shortly thereafter, Eric Taylor, Scott Bartlett and Blake Dixon joined the band. The band distributed their demos at concerts better-known local bands to in-house advertising to operate. 2006 the band produced an album under her own small label. By chance, a copy of their single Addicted came to Mark Hunter, an employee of the label Virgin and asked the band to send a copy to the label. CEO Jason Flom sent Kim Stephens to Jackson in order to get a picture of the band can. On March 11, the band released their first album under Virgin Records. By February 2009, the album sold over 380,000 times. Already on January 15, the album reached number 49 of the U.S. Billboard charts, and on March 15 the album went the Golden Record.

In early 2009 the band gave thanks to Live Nation concerts with Papa Roach, Nickelback and Hinder. On 7 April 2009 their EP was released 18 Days tour. The band played their first headlining tour with Red, Pop Evil and Taddy Porter as opening acts.

Achievements

In 2008 the first album of the band, that is Saving Abel. It reached the 49th place in the U.S. charts and the gold record right away.

A year later, the EP 18 Days tour. Was released in 2010 the album Miss America. Their previously released singles have so far successfully arrived in the United States. Their single Addicted was ranked 20th of the U.S. singles chart, the 44th of the Canadian charts and the 19th place in the Australian charts, as well as the platinum status soon after release.
