Sävsjö Municipality
Sävsjö is a municipality (Swedish kommun ) in the Swedish province of Jönköping County, the historical province of Småland. The main town of the municipality is Sävsjö in the Swedish province of Jönköping County, the historical province of Småland.
Geography
The area of the municipality is dominated by the hills of the southern Swedish highlands, extensive forest areas and a variety of lakes. Among the larger lakes are the Allgunnen in the south and Vallsjön, Linnesjön and Frissjön in the east. In addition, there are several smaller lakes such as the Skärsjön. Larger rivers are the Bodaån the Lillån and Vrigstadsån. Due to a legend of its origin, the little Santa Siegfried source is known.

Localities ( tätorter ) of the community are Rörvik, Sävsjö, Stockaryd and Vrigstad. Exist as Småorter Hultagård and Hylletofta. Until 2005 Hjälmseryd was considered Småort. With the Gamla Bankgården Vrigstad the community also has a Bank Museum. In Draget at Rörvik is the school museum Dragets Skolmuseum. A fire and a shoemaker Museum are located in Sävsjö.
The village Komstad something westernmost of Sävsjö is designed in part as an open air museum. The Sanatorieskogen is an unused forest as a recreational area and park in Sävsjö.
