Sawang Daen Din District
Amphoe Sawang Daen Din ( Thai อำเภอ สว่างแดนดิน ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) of the province of Sakon Nakhon. The Sakon Nakhon Province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the Isaan.
Geography
Amphoe Sawang Daen Din is located in the west of the province of Sakon Nakhon and borders from north clockwise seen at the Amphoe Charoen Sin, Wanon Niwat, Phang Khon, Waritchaphum and Song Dao in the province of Sakon Nakhon Province, and to the Amphoe Chai Wan, Nong Han, Thung Fon and Ban Dung Udon Thani province.
History
Amphoe Sawang Daen Din developed from the former Sawang Daen Din Mueang, which was made in the course of Thesaphiban - administrative reform in 1900 to Amphoe Ban and Han said. 1939 named to the Amphoe then into the present name to.
Management
Amphoe Sawang Daen Din consists of 16 subdistricts ( tambon), which further into 178 villages ( Muban ) are divided.
There are seven small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:
- Sawang Daen Din ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล สว่างแดนดิน ), consisting of Tambon Sawang Daen Din parts of,
- Don Chiang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ดอน เขือง ), consisting of parts of the tambon Waeng,
- Ban Tai ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ ง ใต้ ), consisting of the entire Tambon Ban Tai
- Phan Na ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล พัน นา ), consisting of the whole tambon Phan Na,
- Nong Luang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง หลวง ), consisting of the whole tambon Nong Luang
- Ban Tai ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล บ้าน ต้าย ), consisting of the entire Tambon Ban Tai
- Khok Si ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล โคก สี ), consisting of the entire Tambon Khok Si.
In addition, there are eleven " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations) in the district.
Note: The missing numbers were assigned to tambon which now belong to the Amphoe Charoen Sin.
