Saybia

Saybia is a Danish band that was founded in 1993 on the island of Funen and is frequently compared by musical style and their often melancholy songs with bands like Coldplay and Travis.

History

After a few EPs were released and sold mainly to gigs and concerts, presented the five boys 2002, the ballad The Second You Sleep, and their eponymous debut album. The album came in their native Denmark to # 1 on the album charts and received there and in Norway platinum. This was followed by concerts and a 18- month tour that brought them to America. After the tour, Saybia allegedly " burned out " and it came to separation and resolution rumors about the group. The five of them then bought a house south of Copenhagen, renovated it and converted it into a studio. But the songwriting is the band moved from their home. For two months they entrenched themselves there on the Swedish island of Gotland and see that creativity came back, the songs were written and recorded demos.

Their second album, These Are The Days was released in September 2004 together with the rocking single Brilliant Sky. The album sounds different than its successful predecessor. The band succeeds on this album to create different moods and vocalise their musical diversity. A trendy catchy as The Second You Sleep or The Day After Tomorrow you're looking for on this album vain. For this, one finds an acoustic -sounding The Haunted House On The Hill which is terminated with a trumpet solo by Søren and a concomitant only with piano It's OK Love. The year will end a 17- minute hidden track, which is strongly influenced by instrumental parts.

Saybia is their album on an extended tour of Europe before, but also Japan and China are visited by them. End of August 2005 are traveling to an end.

In the summer of 2006 Saybia give a few concerts in their homeland, but also in Holland and Switzerland. Included in the package are a few new songs. The third album called Eyes On The Highway has been released on August 27, 2007.
