Schwarz-Weiß Bregenz is an Austrian football club based in the state capital Bregenz Vorarlberg. He is currently playing in the third-tier Regionalliga West and plays its home games at Casino -Stadion.

History

Foundation

The club was founded on 27 June 2005 by Wolfgang Glatz and Hans compani under the name SC Bregenz mainly to provide the offspring of the recently bankrupt traditional club SC Bregenz black and white a new home. From 2005 to 2007 Wolfgang Glatz stood before the club as chairman. Until his untimely death in 2011, he was a board member and honorary president of the association. He was succeeded in 2007 the director of the Vorarlberg State Theatre, Harald Petermichl on, who held the position until 2010. Jürgen Rupp led the club then nearly two years on an interim before with Pascal Pletsch finally, a new chairman was elected in March 2012.

Time as SC Bregenz

Renaming in black and white

From the season 2009/10 SC Bregenz was themed 90 years football tradition in Bregenz again in the traditional black and white Dressen on. On 8 July 2013, the club was renamed in black and white Bregenz, logo and club colors have since declined the former Bundesliga club.

Women's team

The women played until the end of season 2011/12 as When & Where ladies SC Bregenz in Vorarlberg women's league. 2012, the women's team was withdrawn.

Offspring

The association currently has ten junior teams in the ages U- 7 to U- 17th

Since August 2012, the SC Bregenz bereibt own goalie school, it is directed by Thomas Fricke and Predrag Zivanovic. She trains goalies of the U-10 up to the first team. Since August 2013, the Bregenz goalie school is also open to goalies outside of the club, so the Nachwuchstormänner specifically train together and learn from each other.

2012 were the young men of the U-13, U -15 and U-17 national champion each. This won for the first time in the history of the Vorarlberg football club an all championship title at youth level. In addition, junior manager Hans compani was handed over to the club, the city seal for special services.

Stadium

The casino Stadium in Bregenz, which was built in 1994 in place of the demolished Bodensee stadium holds 12,000 spectators ( of which about 4,000 seats). Record crowd at the new stadium were 1999 10.800 spectators at the Vorarlberg derby against SC Austria Lustenau in the Bundesliga in the fall.
