SC Cham

The Sports Club Cham is a football club based in the Canton Cham train. For the 2010/11 season, the club plays in the 1st League Classic, the fourth- highest Swiss league in Switzerland.

History

The club was founded on 14 June 1910 as the first football club of the Canton train under the name ' Football Club Cham '.

The first team of the club played several decades in the regional leagues until the 1998/99 season after a successful ascent games against Blue Stars Zurich the first-time promotion to the 1st League. The direct re- descent into the newly founded League second interregional followed in the 2002/03 season the second promotion to the 1st League.

In the season 2006/ 07 the Fanionteam succeeded in fourth place in Group 2 of leap in the promotion round in which it was able to prevail against Étoile Carouge FC Biel -Bienne and could move up to the second-class Challenge League for the first time, but for which the immediate again descent took place.

Stadium

The stadium of the SC Cham called ' Eizmoos ' and has a capacity of 1,800 spectators, which was achieved in the Cup match against FC Aarau in 2006. The Eizmoos includes six grass courts and one clay court. This was replaced in the 2010/2011 season by an artificial pitch and the entire club infrastructure has been expanded. An additional building was built in wardrobe, this was a covered grandstand. Also the whole area of the field has been redesigned so that the club can meet in the future, the increasing demand for capacity.

Since the main pitch in Eizmoos the infrastructure requirements of the Challenge League was not enough, the club wore out the home games of the Challenge League season in Zug Stadium Herti Allmend with 4,900 seats.
