SC Farense

Sporting Clube Farense is a Portuguese football club from Faro. He is one of the oldest and most traditional clubs in the Algarve. The club colors are black and white.

The club played for many years in high leagues. During the years 1970-1976, 1983-1985, 1986-1989 and 1990-2002 they took part in the game operation of the top domestic league championship

The biggest success in club history, participation in the finals of the national cup competition in 1990.

In the season 1994/1995 you could qualify for the UEFA Cup, but retired in the 1995/1996 season after two 0-1 defeats in the first round against Olympique Lyon.

The best-known players of the club are Bruno Alves, Hassan Nader, Lucian Marinescu, Ricardo Vaz Té, Peter Barnes and Peter Rufai.
