SC Germania List

The Sport Club Germania List Hannover eV 1900 is a sports club based in the Hanover district list. He is known for his rugby teams, but also maintains departments for handball, tennis and gymnastics.


The club was founded in 1900 as one of the first German rugby clubs. He came in the 1940s in the national top before he in 1942 and 1949, the final of the German Cup reached, in which he lost both games. This was followed by two more decades without much success. The most successful period of the club was 1968-1980 at this time. Germania won three times the German championship four times and the DRV Cup. Especially in the finals the team showed strong: if it met a playoff they won it - final defeats did not exist in those years.
