SC Kriens

The Sport Club Kriens is a Swiss football club from Kriens in Lucerne agglomeration. The club was founded in 1944 and currently playing in the third highest Swiss league, the first league promotion. The club colors are green and white.

History

In 1920 the first attempt was made ​​by some football friends a football club to set up. However, more than its six years of existence could not celebrate the club. Because of a construction project, the playing field was expropriated and dissolved the club.

1931 Lawn Sports Club Kriens was launched. There they remained for the next three years before a second promotion to the highest Swiss league.

The 1996/97 season began, although successful with wins against Grasshoppers Zurich and other top teams, but followed in the second half of the season slump. This altitude flight also ended with the immediate re descent. Until the 2007/ 08 season the club played in the Challenge League, but then increased from 1 in the league. In the 2009/10 season of SC Kriens plays in the Challenge League after the team in the promotion round won all the games for themselves.
