SC Sand

The SC sand (full name: Sport Club sand) is a German sports club based in Willstaett Ortenaukreis (Baden- Württemberg). The club was founded on August 11, 1946. The association offers the sports of soccer, gymnastics, judo and Qi Gong. Since 1989 there is a Jedermänner department, standing in the fun of the sport and camaraderie care at the center. The first women's football team played after relegation in 2011 in the Regionalliga Süd, but returned in 2012 back to the 2nd Bundesliga Süd.

Women's Soccer

History

The women's football department was founded in July 1980 and two years later took part in the game mode. Even after two years was the rise in the fifth division scheme, then the top flight. After three District Cup wins and two district championships in the hall, the master of the Women Association League in 1992 for the first time. However, in the promotion round they failed. In 1996 she won again the championship and were also successful in the promotion round; went straight to number six was reached. Since the Premier League was reduced, had the women's team in a relegation in which they, in turn, could not prevail.

The SC sand was added to the newly created Oberliga Baden- Württemberg. The first participation in the second round DFB Cup was achieved at first attempt. A 4-1 defeat at VfL Sindelfingen meant the departure from the competition. As the Süddeutsche Football Association einrichtete a Regional in 2000, the SC sand was there. According to the vice Championship 2002 Championship 2003 could be achieved. In the promotion round but it failed because of the Hamburger SV and 1.FC Saarbrücken. 2004, the 2nd Bundesliga was established and the SC sand is in this midfield places. After the season 2010/11 the interior Sander had to dismount than Penultimate.

After the direct re-emergence of the SC was in the 2012/13 season to the surprise team and finished the season in third place. By the penultimate round of the walkover in the Bundesliga was still possible. Also in the DFB Cup saw the SC sand splash and eliminated in the quarter -finals 0-1 against 1 FFC Turbine Potsdam. As the only team in the SC sand could defeat the champion TSG Hoffenheim in both games. Hoffenheim lost otherwise against any other team. On 15 December 2013, the club moved to a 0-2 victory over the FF USV Jena, for the first time in the semi-finals of the DFB - Pokal 2013/14 and thus celebrated the greatest success of the club's history.
