SC Xaverov

The SC Xaverov Horni Počernice is a Czech football club from Horni Počernice, a district on the outskirts of Prague. From 1977 to 1995 and again from 1998 to 2006 Xaverov played in the second division of Czechoslovakia Czech Republic respectively.

Club history

The association was created in 1966 from a merger of Slavoj Horni Počernice and Slovan Horni Počernice as TJ Xaverov Horni Počernice. Xaverov, a company based in Horni Počernice poultry Combine took over the patronage of the club. The club colors were yellow and green, the club logo was a chick to find and soon the team was so named. Many famous players could end her career at the outskirts of Prague.

After several ascents in no time Xaverov reached 1977, the second highest Czechoslovak league CNL. Several times Xaverov could put forward for promotion to the 1st League but it was never enough. In 1990, the club name was changed to SK Xaverov Praha, the club colors adapted to the city red - black-and- white.

From 1991 to 1993 played the first team under the name of 1st FC Terrex Praha. In 1995, the descent into the 3rd league CFL. 1998 also had to leave. It came to cooperate with the second division side SK Chrudim, who fought out in the 1998/99 season his games in Horni Počernice. Xaverov itself, the club was called at that time SC Horni Počernice, run as a sort of B team only in the 5th league. In the summer of 1999, the two clubs merged to become SC Xaverov Horni Počernice.

The SC Xaverov reached in 2000/ 01 with the fourth place in the second league club the best result, the promotion place in the first league was missed by ten points. 2004 increased from Xaverov in the CFL, but managed its chances of promotion.

Shortly before the end of the 2005 /06 announced General Manager Vojtěch Tomi, leave the second division license of the club, because of the conditions that are to be found in Czech football. A long time it looked like he would not find a buyer, he finally agreed with Bohemians 1905.

In the 2006/07 season only junior teams of the SC Xaverov be part of the game operation.

Tipsport Cup

Xaverov was also known by the hosting of the Winter Cup tournament Tipsort on their own artificial turf from 2003 to 2005, at which leading Czech teams prepared for the second half. Xaverov could even win the tournament in 2003.
