Scalr

Scalr is a web based, open source, cloud-computing platform to manage the Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud. The project was initiated in April 2008 by Intridea to determine an easily scalable infrastructure for media plug ( a platform for the exchange of media content ) are available. The project is now hosted on Google Code. Scalr offer, according to a review, " 90 % of the functionality at 10 % of the price " of the main competitor RightScale.

Scalr has received positive reviews, since the source code under the GNU General Public License ( version 2) was released. This includes reviews of TechCrunch, HighScalability, the official AWS blog, as well as CNet, and private blogs.

Scalr is available to be paid monthly service since mid-2008.
