Scandic Victoria Tower

The Victoria Tower is a skyscraper in the Kista district of Stockholm. It houses the Hotel ' Scandic Victoria Tower ', was opened on September 15, 2011. It was designed by Swedish architectural firm Wingårdh.

With its 118 meters it dominates the Kista Science Tower in the same district, and is therefore under the Kaknästornet Stockholm's second-highest structure. The Victoria Tower has 34 floors, of which 22 are occupied by offices of the hotel and the rest. In the 33rd floor offers conference rooms and on the top the Skybar.

The lead architect Gert Wingårdh designed the skyscraper with a basic shape which resembles a T. The glittering facade arises almost entirely of triangular windows in eight different types, which differ in how they treat the outside. Besides Wingårdh Karolina Keyzer, which acts as city architect of Stockholm since August 2010, was primarily responsible for the project. Owner of the estimated at about 600 million Swedish crowns Victoria Tower is the Norwegian investor Arthur Buchardt. The groundbreaking ceremony took place on November 5, 2009.
