Scarborough F.C.

The Scarborough Football Club was a football club based in north-east England seaside town of Scarborough. The club, founded in 1879, disbanded in June 2007 for a debt of £ 2.5 million. The biggest success of the club were twelve years in the lowest English professional league (1987-1999), is also the club together with two other clubs with three hits record winner of the FA Trophy.

Successor clubs

After the dissolution of Scarborough FC two successors emerged; the FC Scarborough Fan Association The Seadog Trust founded in June 2007 as a successor to Club Scarborough Athletic Association; the youth teams, including the coaching staff, as well as the football school of the old Scarborough FC were taken over by George Pindar Community Sports College; founded in 2008 as a superstructure of these teams, as well as a new men's team, the club Scarborough Town. Both clubs play in very low amateur leagues, Town in the eleventh and Athletic League in the ninth.
