SCCA RallyCross

The Rallycross (these letters, so with a large C in the middle, is preferably used in the U.S. ) is a sports automobile for private vehicles and an American namesake of the European Rally Cross but did not impose any further similarities. Rallycross is driven under jurisdiction of the Sports Car Club of America ( SCCA ).

When Rallycross a single car drives on a usually temporary circular course against the stopwatch timer. The track features on this loose track surface (eg gravel, sand or earth ).

Rallycross is operated mainly with road-going cars, relatively " tame " rally cars, SUVs, pickup trucks and similar vehicles and exclusively by racing beginners or amateur racing drivers. As it relates to each of the bests acting alone on the slopes driver, you can consider it as a kind of cross between autocross with rally sprints.
