The former station Schalksmuehle is currently used as a breakpoint. He is the breakpoint Volmetal train from Hagen to Dieringhausen, and is by DB Station & Service performed in the second lowest category 6 station.
The breakpoint is on the edge of downtown Schalksmuehle. The only platform extends up to the station forecourt and is at ground level. It was originally planned to restore the two-track state since the Volmetal train in 30 minutes clock should operate on two tracks again. History
The KAE station, opposite the state railway Schalksmuehle, was the starting point of the Hälvertalbahn according to Halver. Station area
On the site of the former station is now home to the supermarket buying parking and a kiosk, post office. They are accessible by a passage to the platform.
