Schaumburg Land

The Schaumburg district is located in Lower Saxony land between Steinhude, Schaumburg Forest, Minden country Wesergebirge and Deister. Historically, it comprises the former countries Schaumburg -Lippe area Biickeburg - Upper churches and Hagen as well as the County of Schaumburg in the area Rinteln. The area is rural in character though, but settled comparatively tight. Here you will find a variety of independent traditions and customs. The Schaumburg costume has become nationally known. Today, the Schaumburg district is largely congruent with the district of Schaumburg.
