Scheiditz is a municipality in the east of Thuringia, Saale- wood - country circuit and fulfilling part of municipality Bad Klosterlausnitz. Currently, according to residents Scheiditz second smallest municipality in Thuringia after Kleinbockedra.
Location
Scheiditz is located in the north of Wood Land, near Biirgel in the narrow valley of the track stream and can be reached by a side road from the south.
History
The place was first mentioned in 1339. He belonged to the Duchy ernstinisch - Wettin Saxe-Altenburg, within which he was assigned to the West District. 1910 lived in the secluded village of 110 inhabitants, since 1920 it belongs to the state of Thuringia, in the GDR in the meantime the Gera district.
Attractions
Scheiditz is characterized by traditional three-and four-sided courtyards, some of which are listed buildings. The place also has a restored war memorial.
