Scheifling

Scheifling is a market town with 1525 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013 ) in the judicial district or district Murau in Styria. From 1 January 2015 it has joined forces framework of the Styrian municipality structural reform with the town of Sankt Lorenzen bei Scheifling, the new community will be called " Scheifling - Sankt Lorenzen ".

Geographical Location

Scheifling lies about 19 km east of Murau.

History

Scheifling was first 973 N.C. mentioned under the name Sublich.

The municipality Scheifling was built in 1849 /50. The also 1849/1850 built community Lind bei Scheifling was incorporated on January 1, 1952 the municipality Scheifling.

Economy and infrastructure

According to Census of 2001, there are 90 workplaces with 759 employees in the community as well as 450 and 557 commuter commuters. There are 50 agricultural and forestry holdings (including 13 in the main acquisition ), which together manage 4,164 ha (as of 1999).

Education

In the town there are two kindergartens, a primary school, a secondary school and a music school ( Expositur ).
