Schelte J. Bus

Scolding John ( "Bobby" ) bus ( born 1956 ) is an American astronomer who studied mainly asteroids and comets. He works for the University of Hawaii as a researcher and an assistant (support astronomer ) at the NASA Infrared Telescope ( IRTF ) at Mauna Kea Observatory.

Bus has over a thousand asteroids discovered (some together with Eleanor Helin ) and a comet ( 87P/Bus ). The asteroid ( 3254 ) Bus (1982 discovered by Edward LG Bowell ) is named after him.
