The Scherzachtaler springs southeast of the community green herb in Baden- Württemberg in the nature reserve Wasenmoos with green herb.

Within Grünkraut the renatured there Scherzachtaler forms a small village pond. Then it flows partially straightened in the north to the municipality schlier which she strips on the western outskirts. Then it flows to the vineyard in the natural bed through the heavily forested Lauratal. In the town of Weingarten it is first passed through multiple channels and flows finally west of Weingarten in the Schussen.
