The Schichauweg railway station is a railway station of the S -Bahn Berlin at the Berlin- Dresden Railway. It is located in Berlin's Tempelhof- Schöneberg, and was opened on 1 December 1990 to connect Lichtenrade -Nord.

It is the only construction of a new S-Bahn by the Berlin Transport Authority, which held at the time of opening the operating rights of the S -Bahn in West Berlin.

It consists of two side platforms, each with both northern and southern exits to the road train Schichauweg / Barnetstraße. On 25 November 1991 additional North outputs were opened to Miethepfad and Kettinger road from both platforms.

History

The railway line was opened at ground level through undeveloped territory in 1875. There was a signalman house southwest of the present station.

In 1938 the track was raised on embankment level. At the same time the walk, the route crossing freight outer ring was built, the route was north of the present railway station. A compound curve was between south and east, in addition, a curve from south was built in 1944 to West. With the construction of the parallel Berlin outer ring 1951, the goods outer ring lost its function and was only used for local transport. He is now shut down, north of the station Schichauweg in the area it was dismantled.

Mid-1980s, the single-track railway bridge from 1938 was replaced on the road by a double-track construction.
