Schillingsbek

In Von Eicken Park the Schillingsbek is guided laterally past the retention basin.

The Schillingsbek is about 1.9 km long river in Hamburg- Lokstedt. Between its source near the Julius- Vosseler Street to the confluence with the Kollau the Lohbek is their only tributary. A pond in the Von Eicken Park serves as a retention basin, and was originally flooded by the Schillingsbek. To improve the river water quality is led by the Schillingsbek since 2009 in this pond so that fresh water is the retention basin only supplied at medium and high water.
