Schinznach

Schinznach is a municipality in the canton of Aargau, which originated from Oberflachs and Schinznach village at the beginning of 2014. The municipality is located in the lower Schenkenbergertal on Talbach. The municipality is bordered to the north by Schinznach Bözberg and Villnachern, to the east by Schinznach bath, to the south and Veltheim Auenstein, on the west by Thalheim AG and to the northwest by Zeihen.

Today's borough Schinznach village was officially named until 1938 Schinznach. A fusion project, Schinznach 'should emerge from the existing communities Oberflachs, Schinznach bath, Schinznach village and Villnachern originally, but was rejected by the voters of Villnachern in October 2009. The reduced fusion project was then approved.
