Schleberoda is a district of Freyburg ( Unstrut) in Burgenland district, in Saxony -Anhalt.

History

Schleberoda was first officially mentioned in a document in 1308 as Slaverenrode, which means the clearing of a sorbent with Slavomir name. The clearing settlement founded as Sackgassenort came in the late Middle Ages in direct dependence on the manor Kirchscheidungen. Since 1525, when the family of Rockhausen owned the place. 1550 had Levin and Matt Rockhausen jurisdiction on the Feldflur Schleberoda to the Office Freyburg leave and kept that even in the village ( until 1748). By selling the place went to the noble family von der Schulenburg on Burgscheidungen and Kirchscheidungen. On 1 July 2009 Schleberoda was incorporated into the town Freyburg ( Unstrut).

South of the town runs the federal highway 176 which leads from Weissenfels and Freyburg ( Unstrut).
