The source of Schledde lies on the hair strand on the southern outskirts of Wippringsen at an altitude of 270 m above sea level. NN. From here, it flows predominantly in a northerly direction. Their path leads past the eastern outskirts of Soest. After 17.5 km, the Schledde leads to 71 m above sea level. NN on the left into the Ahse. On their way the Ahse overcomes a difference in altitude of 199 m, where it drains an area of 48.143 km ².
