Schloonsee

The Schloonsee is situated in the municipality of Heringsdorf on Usedom Island in the district of Vorpommern - Greifswald lake. It is located east of the town Bansin and north of the federal highway 111 The municipal road from the lakeside resort Heringsdorf to Heringsdorf leads close to the north shore of the lake. The lake has an approximate length of 750 meters, a width of 400 meters and an average depth of 3 meters. The lake was created as all the lakes on the island of Usedom in the last ice age.

In the years 1978 and 1979 there was a reorganization of the lake. In 1981, geological investigations were carried out on the south bank of the Schloonsees.
