Schnittlauchinsel

The Chive Island is an island in Lake Walen. The island belongs to the municipality of fourths in the canton of St. Gallen. It is the only island of Lake Walen and the largest in the canton of St. Gallen. The 320 meters from the shores remote island has a length of 80 meters and the maximum width is 20 meters.

Other names

The Chive island is also frequently called Swan Island or by the locals Inseli. Swan Island it is called, because many live swans on it.
