Scho-Ka-Kola

SCHO -KA- KOLA (formerly Scho -Ka- Kola ) is a brand name that is used for nut mixtures and highly caffeinated chocolates. The chocolates have a caffeine content of about 0.2 percent, which is derived from the cocoa content of 58 percent and the addition of 2.6 percent and 1.6 percent roasted coffee cola nut powder. The chocolate is sold pre-portioned in triangular pieces in a red and white round tin can. Formulation and design were changed only slightly since the introduction of chocolate.

History

1935 Scho -Ka- Kola in Berlin by the company Hildebrand, cocoa and chocolate factory GmbH invented and in the following year at the 1936 Summer Olympic Games was introduced as a "Sport chocolate ". It was also produced by the chocolate manufacturer in Hannover Sprengel, who was so recognized in 1936 is important for the military industrial operation. During the Second World War, it was colloquially referred to as "Flieger chocolate " because it was part of the Air Force Board, but also the food of other branches of service, eg submarine crews or army.
