Schönbrunn (Vienna U-Bahn)

The station Schonbrunn the Vienna U -Bahn line U4 is in the 13th district of Vienna Hietzing. It is named after the former summer residence of the Habsburgs, Schönbrunn Palace.

Location and special features

The station is located in the notch next to the river west of Vienna Schoenbrunn bridge. Outputs on both platforms lead to the Green Mountain road and the area between the river and the Vienna Schoenbrunn Palace Road. These areas are used for sports fields and as a parking area for coaches. Being close to Schönbrunn, the most visited attraction of Austria, the station is mainly used by tourists.
