The Schönebürgstadion located near the festival place in Crailsheim on which every year takes place the Franconian folk festival. The stadium was established in 1976 at a price of 2.28 million Mark built. It was considered very modern. The opening game of the lawn a Crailsheim city selection against Stuttgarter Kickers in June 1977 ended 3:4.
The stadium can accommodate about 5000 spectators. Inside the stadium, there are mainly standing room only in the main stand, there are a few hundred seats. With top games or special occasions (eg: people festival ) an additional opposite stand is established.
The stadium can find the home games of the men's team TSV Crailsheim in the Oberliga Baden- Württemberg also the home games of the women's team in the second division ( in bad weather as it applies to the artificial turf next to the stadium instead ) instead. In addition, the stadium is used for many other events. For example, the stadium to the parade ground of Crailsheim citizens watch at their anniversary, as in 2005.
