School Choice

School Choice in the U.S. is a school program that allows students to attend classes any private or public schools. Students and their parents receive from the school district for a coupon ( voucher ), a tax waiver or a scholarship. The School Choice program is to encourage parents to become more involved in the primary or secondary school. In the U.S. School Choice refers to a social, political movement that would like to have used this program for a school district or state. The goal of School Choice is the implementation of the free market of supply and demand for schools. There is competition among the schools with the aim of giving a higher education per dollar spent. Critics claim that the idea of a free market in education is not working and School Choice the majority of students more harm.

A School Choice should not be confused with a Magnet School.
