The lower Schozachtal is deep because of its narrow and winding form as a transportation route unusable and only partially accompanied by roads. However, it was once crossed by the Bottwartalbahn, the Marbach am Neckar with Heilbronn union and thereby followed the course of the Schozach between Auenstein and Sontheim. The route of the now disused railway line has been converted to a bike path, being a part of the Alb- Neckar Cycle Path to the network of Baden-Württemberg distance cycle route.
