Origin of the name

Schrampe was a Slavic dwelling and means Bach 'or' the flow '.

History

Due to a change in the contract area, the municipal council of Schrampe decided on 18 May 2009 that the church is incorporated into the city Arendsee ( Altmark). This agreement was approved by the county as a lower municipal supervisory authority and entered into force on 1 January 2010.

After incorporation of the previously autonomous municipality this part of the town was Arendsee ( Altmark). For the community, the local Constitution 86 et seq Municipal Code Saxony -Anhalt was introduced pursuant to § §. The place with the districts Schrampe, Friedrich Milde and Zießau became a district of the host city Arendsee ( Altmark). In this district a Ortsrat was formed with five members, including mayor.
