Schraplau is a town in the Saale district, Saxony -Anhalt ( Germany ).

Geography

Schraplau between Halle ( Saale) and Eisleben in the Valley of Weida. The city belongs to the municipality Weida -Land, which has its headquarters in the town of Nemsdorf - Göhrendorf.

Economy and infrastructure

In the village is a lime plant is obtained in the limestone from the neighboring mining.

With the opening of the railway line Röblingen am See- Vitzenburg Schraplau received access to the German railway network. Since the setting of the passenger traffic in late 2003, there are on this route only freight to and from Röblingen.
