Schroeder (constructor)

Schroeder was one of the race car producers, the vehicles for the AAA National series in the 1950s - similar to today's Indy Car Series - manufactured. In 1951, the car - driven by an Offenhauser engine - the first time used the 500-mile race at Indianapolis. Hazards were the cars of Bobby Ball and Duke Dinsmore. Ball reached fifth place in the overall standings in the race. Since the 500 - mile race from 1950 to 1960 belonged to the Formula 1 World Championship, Ball also reached two points in the drivers' standings. Often Schroeder is also mentioned as a design engineer in team statistics of the formula 1. However, there is the Constructors' title in this series only since 1958; until then no points are officially awarded to teams.

Schroeder was active in Indianapolis until 1955. Jimmy Bryan 1953 Fourteenth in the final classification. Andy Linden and Len Duncan in 1954, and Keith Andrews in 1955, came not in the standings after failures.
