Schroon River

The Schroon River is a left tributary of the upper Hudson River in the U.S. state of New York.

The Schroon River is formed at the confluence of its two headwaters Crowfoot Brook and New Pond Brook in the east of the Adirondack Mountains. It flows along its entire route in a predominantly southerly direction. Interstate 87 ( Adirondack Northway ) runs along the river. In Schroon Lake Schroon River flows into the lake of the same. In Potterville at the southern end of the lake, he leaves again this. The Schroon River extends approximately 6 km west of Lake George. He eventually flows through the small town of Warrensburg and ends shortly southwest of the city on the left side in the upper reaches of the Hudson River.
