The chute is a block heap in the Bode Gorge in the Lower Harz near Thale, Saxony-Anhalt. The heap block is in slowly slipping movement, especially in heavy rainfall " scuffing " the blocks partly audible to the valley.

The name has been transferred to a 1864 -scale heavily used communication route between the Bode and the legendary Ross Trappe. In 18 hairpin bends, the chute winds up the steep scree slope. The route has been carefully traced out and partially paved. Of the wegbegleitend planted in this extreme location some trees have survived. Hiking the trail uphill requires because of around 200 meters and the steep slope in good physical condition. In May 2010, there was a rock fall that led to the blocking of the road.
