Schuyler County (Missouri)

The Schuyler County is a county located in the U.S. state of Missouri. In 2010, the County had 4,400 inhabitants and a population density of 5.6 inhabitants per square kilometer. The administrative headquarters ( County Seat) is Lancaster.

Geography

The County is located in the extreme north of Missouri and adjacent to Iowa. It has an area of 798 square kilometers, of which 1 square km is water. At the Schuyler County borders the following Nachbarcountys:

History

The Schuyler County was formed in 1845. It was named for Philip J. Schuyler, a member of the Congress of the United States and U.S. Senator from New York.
