Schweigmatt

Schweigmatt, a 780 meter high altitude hamlet in the southern Black Forest, as part of the district of the city Raitbach Schopfheim in the district of Lörrach in Baden- Württemberg.

History

The already in 1113 in a donation Walchos of Waldeck mentioned in documents hamlet Schweigmatt was about 100 years, a much visited and respected spa town, where eg Konrad Adenauer was a guest. Especially from the nearby Swiss city of Basel, many people came before the start of mass tourism on the Schweigmatt, to spend the weekend or longer to recover.
